Students must complete a minimum of 28 elective credits. These credits can be from a wide variety of courses that are approved by the Ministry of Education. These credits are earned by students to support their academic, career, or personal interests.

These include, for example, foreign languages that a student may be interested in or have some background. Students must complete a minimum of 16 credits at the Grade 12 level (including an English 12 course).  Graduation Transitions is a requirement to provide evidence that students have done personal, career, and financial planning prior to graduation.

Students must complete Graduation Transitions through a school-supported course or process while they are studying in BC.
